Praise the LORD!
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
This is the first verse I thought of when writing this post. He steadfast love of the Lord endures forever. He is good. He is worthy of our thanks and remembrance. Today we hope to stay focused on the Lord and on the many blessings he pours out on our family.
It has been a bit tricky in teaching Alani about Thanksgiving. When we explain Thanksgiving and then ask her questions, she bounces all around. Sometimes she says she is thankful for the car or mama… but tonight she was thankful for her finger. Ok, she is only 2, but she is beginning to understand. She is excited to talk about Jesus. She tries to retell stories to us. She often gets some of the details confused and we all giggle as we unscramble the story she is trying to tell. Tonight, as she told her stories about Jesus, I became overwhelmed. I realize that these moments will pass quickly, but will one day serve as a foundation for The Gospel. I am thankful that God allows me to see glimpses of his glory on display in the life of our family. I am thankful for a husband who teaches our daughters stories about Jesus. My cup is full tonight. Happy Thanksgiving!
p.s. Next week I will begin a new series and new tips. But for now, I will continue to relax on vacation…
